What's New: Updates from La Estancia
July 2007 - El Pueblo
We're proud to say that The El Pueblo Townhouse project is nearly built-out. The completing of this project is truly an exciting accomplishment for River Construction, all of us at La Estancia and the Kanab community at large. Construction begin on this family and pet friendly project March 2005. Build-out consists of 12 two-story 8plex townhouse buildings.
The El Pueblo Townhouses are artistically and perfectly situated to the lay-of-the-land and at home on eleven acres at the mouth of Tom's Canyon. This acreage raves of red-rock-canyon views with a mixing of mature and new landscape. At El Pueblo you'll find an award winning children's playground, a-walk-in-the-woods dog path, a hike up the canyon trail, a sun-kissed pool with wadding ledge and hot tub, a stunning clubhouse with wide screen TV and a weight and exercise room that's beyond belief. Surrounding the clubhouse are volleyball, horseshoes and picnicking spots with BBQ grills. This is the fabulous project that over 60 families now call home and/or their home-away-from-home.
The Townhouses themselves are state-of-the-art in engineering design and construction, bragging of a-must-see 3 bedrooms 2 ½ baths, fireplace, storage-space, master-deck, ready-to-move-into all inclusive window coverings and upgraded appliances. (See Standard Features List) Ceramic tile comes standard in kitchen, dining and baths, the color selections, the rustic cabinets, the richness of the counter tops, the oil rubbed bronze hardware and matching old world lighting, give the townhouses a southwest flare. The stunning Hi Desert Landscaping comes with weekly care giving the homeowners the free time to enjoy their lives.

August 2006 - La Estancia celebrates its first anniversary and Kanab's old west heritage come alive during the annual Western Legends Round-Up. We are proud to announce the completion and grand opening of the La Estancia clubhouse, including the first community swimming pool!

June 2006 - It’s an exciting time for the Homeowners and prospective Homeowners at the El Pueblo Townhouses. A park, Parque Central, (Center Park) has been created.
Parque Central is ‘front-and-center’ at the entrance of El Pueblo. It includes such features as a reflection pool with a pleasant sounding fountain, a meandering walkway that crosses a dry streambed and leads either to the Postal Center or a shady grass area.
Starting immediately, we will begin construction on the Dog Park at La Estancia. Dog owners at El Pueblo may bring their dogs to this park. Also starting immediately is the dog walking area behind Building I at El Pueblo. This is an exclusive dog walking area for El Pueblo Homeowners, Lessees and their guests.
Construction on the El Pueblo pool and Clubhouse should be underway within the next 45 days. It’s located in front of Building B. As owners of the La Estancia project we are proud to provide recreational amenities and landscaped parks early on in the project.
El Pueblo is created for people with an active lifestyle. To this end, your central recreational area will be complete with outdoor swimming pool, weight and exercise room and cozy gathering room. The Clubhouse and pool area will be beautifully landscaped and fenced for your safety and privacy.
June 2006 -Installation begins on the drainage system with 384 concrete box culverts weighing 24,000 lb each, measuring 6' high and 7' wide.

Lots 148,149,150,151,152,153 were added to phase 2 ladera and another 11 lots were added to El Valle,
bringing the phase 2 total to 104 lots

Mar. 2006 - La Estancia and El Pueblo Final Plats for Phase 1 were recorded at the Kane County Recorders Office on 1/3/06. In El Pueblo buildings A and J have closed and are now occupied. Buildings H and I are nearing completion and B is well underway. Buildings G and K are just starting. All of the first 7 buildings are sold out. Our first owner, Hollie Howard moved in in mid January. In La Estancia 9 homes have started since the plat recorded and our first owner’s John and Jill Armstrong moved into their new home in late March.
Ladera: We have reservations and backup reservations on every lot at Ladera Phases 1, 2 and 3.
Phase 1 lots are now ready to close. Closing must occur no later than 1/15/06. Building permits can now be obtained by contacting Russ Keller at Kanab City.
La Estancia Phase 2: The 104 building sites in phase 2 will be completed sometime mid-summer about the same time as clubhouse completion. Reservation holders will be contacted about 30 days prior to recording of the final plat to convert their reservations into Real Estate Purchase Contracts, subject to recording of final plat. Deposits become firm and construction may commence following the plat’s recording.
The new clubhouse is a 5,000 sq ft structure complete with Indoor pool and hot tub, group gathering area with projection/big screen TV and tables and chairs, kitchen, reading room with fireplace and exercise room with state-of-the-art training equipment. Outside areas include swimming pool, Old Barn shade pavilion, barbeque grill and children’s play area
